Super Nerds (2000)

Martin and Jimmy talk Super Nerds, a sit-com, that would have aired on Comedy Central, created by and starring Patton Oswalt and Brian Posehn. We really wanted to like this but... it's not very good. We discuss stuff like just how badly the female characters are written, comedy foreigners and where we first knew the cast from. And Spaced. We like that show. This pilot replaces one called Stick Around (1977) that I felt we couldn't talk much about but I may still do in the future. Contains strong language.

Bonus: Fringe (pilot commentary)

Tysto joins me to talk through the pilot episode to the JJ Abrams show, Fringe. It's a good show and we both enjoy revisiting its first episode. We talk about the cast, the team behind the scenes, how some characters aren't served well by the script(s) and give spoilers for future episodes. I say in the commentary that we won't give spoilers but there were some things we just had to talk about. And by that point, we've already spoiled something anyway. If you are listening without watching the show, sorry about the brief gaps.  I can't edit those out or it would really be a commentary. Contains strong language.

Rewind (2013)

Martin returns! Remember Martin? I barely do but here he is to help me talk through the bland sci-fi "thriller" Rewind. We talk about many things including how similar this is to Timeless which just ended, after two seasons and a TV movie, last year. We also had the benefit of having access to the original script, so we talk about the changes to the third act. Enjoy! (contains mild language)

Bonus: Dawson's Creek Commentary

As a bonus episode, Jen and I decided to record an audio commentary for the pilot to Dawson's Creek. Was it a mistake? Listen and see! We discuss the cast, the music, agree on our dislike of a main character and spoil later developments of the show. You can listen to it on its own or while the pilot plays. Infiltrator (1987)

Jim Cliff from the Fallacious Trump podcast returns to chat about the 1987 Scott Bakula sci-fi pilot Infiltrator. Bakula is sadly miscast here but we talk about Quantum Leap,occasionally,  that was a great show. Enjoy! End music: Jack's Garage by Midnight North.

Bonus: Madness-The Pilot (1984)

In this special bonus episode, Jim and I discuss the short pilot presentation Madness: The Pilot. A pitch reel written by Ben Elton and Richard Curtis to try to get the British band Madness their own comedy show. It failed, obviously. The pilot is only 12 minutes long, so bonus episode it is!
